Hi, I’m Janine, mother and speech and language pathologist.
Over time and many, many, not so perfect moments, it hit me. Who needs perfect! It’s not real, fun, and doesn’t serve us. I shifted my mind set from striving to be perfect to striving to be me. This is a big part of what I teach my clients and parents. Each child that I work with comes with his or her own unique personality, gifts, quirks, and likely if you are reading this obstacles. The goal in therapy isn’t about striving for perfection. It’s about optimizing the functional language and communication skills that each child has. I work closely, with families, caregivers, teachers, and other providers to create a safe, motivating, and optimal learning environment.
